So glad you've joined the e-book borrowing club. I highly recommend the Libby app and uploading the cards to ALL the libraries you are a member of for maximum usefulness. They don't limit you to one card!
Sounds lovely! And such a good point, because most people will have different solar conditions between their front and back yards. Thanks for commenting
Chairs in the front yard are community connection gamechangers! I’m so happy to live on a street where we all do it. :)
So cool that it’s a neighborhood thing!
Front yard seating is a fun design project. Might give it a go this spring. Thank you for sharing.
You’re welcome;)

I didn’t realize you can put multiple library cards in the same account. Excellent tip, thank you!
I've left a few stumps in the back garden over the years. They almost all show signs of nesting by carpenter bees.
And that’s good news, right?! For readers who mistaken worry that carpenter bees will destroy their homes, here’s an article Xerces shared about their behavior: https://www.journal-news.net/life/home-and-garden/carpenter-bee-time-once-again/article_851106a4-557f-581c-b372-cbd11aebb7cc.html?fbclid=IwVERDUAPctBdleHRuA2FlbQIxMQBzcnRjBmFwcF9pZAo2NjI4NTY4Mzc5AAEexSeaRbiudZ1ZcfUdsnHMlm1r2RqlwYb2JXcRjJWtrGE_Y83_TW1EN1EvSKg_aem_Yil_NWOysPM-SLYt1Cq1Bw
Yes, definitely good news! In commenting, I took for granted that people would understand the need to support native pollinators.
Thank you!
Our front yard seating area came about because it's more shaded than the back yard. Late afternoon summer sun is much more tolerable in the shade!!!
