Thank you so much for including actionable steps that people can take to help! Just curious from your experience - do you find that people seem to care more about the environment when it's benefit is somehow related back to themselves (like being around trees and inhaling phytoncides boosts our immune system)? I'm always looking for more ways to talk about this to bring more people over to the environment side :)
Absolutely. In fact, we recently tested various phrases and human health received much more engagement than biodiversity, pollinators, and other benefits.
Excellent read and thank you for sharing. The links on glyphosate are sobering and concerning. (Many) years ago I would be out in the backyard in my bikini spraying weeds...frightening. Also love the before and after images. Interested in the link to the Pollinator Pathway and noted zero in NC where I reside. More thought needed on this.
Thank you! FYI, Pollinator Pathway encourages and supports new groups—even very small ones (their model works well in a hyper local basis). So if you feel so inclined…
thanks for a great post - I do follow all the links, even though it sometimes takes me a week to get through all of them...pet peeve (not! on you) people who take before and after pictures from different perspectives or closer in - I keep trying to move my eyes around to see what actually has happened.
As a New Yorker, I can attest that street trees really do make all the difference!
Amen!

Love the before and afters! Amazing
Aren’t they great?! Glad you made it thru the glum stuff to get there:)

You're welcome! And glad to hear at least someone follows the links:) Good point about the before and afters.
That map on toxic herbicides...ugh. Thanks for sharing this info.
Glum, indeed! You’re welcome.
