I appreciate your distinction between a meadow and a meadow garden. I'm also interested in the observation that newly-established meadows will look scruffy. That's been my experience, and I'm reassured to think it's not necessarily my fault! ;)
Thank you, Lolly! I'd love to see a "Plant This, Not That" about meadow flowers. So many beloved wildflowers (daisies, dandelions, queen Ann's lace, etc.) are naturalized imports displacing natives vital to species specific native insects.
